Welcome to A Home For Tandy! My passion is to create hand made textile homewares and accessories using natural materials, coloured and printed with natural dyes. Here's where I document my processes from my home studio in Melbourne’s outer east as well as "show and tell" new products and exciting happenings. I hope what you find here will inspire creativity, nesting, nurturing and the appreciation of your own environment. Happy browsing! www.ahomefortandy.com

Folio 2010
These are pages from my folio of a few years ago, modeled by my lovely daughter Eliza. The textiles course at RMIT encouraged the exploration of many different techniques and media, hence the schizophrenic nature of my body of work so far. I was really happy with the hand woven evening purse, but my main achievement of that class was the realisation that weaving is NOT for me! Too much intricate, mathematical planning involved; I'm much more inclined to let my work take an organic path to resolution!
